New pads all round, fender-extender fitted.

Mileage: 5536

Rear pads were shot, front weren’t far behind so I changed the whole lot.  Went for EBC sintered on the front ( hopefully for a little more bite ) and non-sintered on the rear which is wearing quicker. I noticed that the fluids looked old despite the 6k service Triumph carried out last month included changing ‘all fluids’.  Will put new fluid in tomorrow.

I seem to be trailing the rear brake a lot more on this bike than I did on the GS’s.  Probably because this bike has less engine braking than the big twins, and also because the front end is much more bouncey and less stable – so trailing the rear into corners is advantagous in the not low-siding stakes.

Fitted a front fender exender to help keep the winter crap off the engine.  I didn’t use the supplied plastic rivet things, instead I used little stainless steel nuts and bolts.

Checked oil. Oil good.
