I was annoyed to notice that the top bolt on the left-hand side footrest hanger had shook itself loose and disappeared – especially annoyed as most folk say it’s only the right-hand side hanger which loses it’s bolts, so I hadn’t bothered to look at the LHS when whilst I was sorting out the right-hand side bolts.  Following me?

So I put locknuts onto the two remaining bolts ( these two actually stick out of the other side, through the centre-stand mounts, so you can add locknuts, the top one mounts into the frame, so you can’t ), and ordered a new bolt for the top position.

I went to fit the new bolt today, only to find that the thread in the frame had sheared ( which would explain the disappeared bolt ) – so thats going to have to get helicoiled.  Great.  Triumph, take another thumbs-down in the build-quality league table.
