Mileage: 3815

I had Carl Rosners down in Sanderstead fit me up with a new Triump TOR silencer. Would have done it myself but I want to keep what’s left of the warantee intact. They also remapped the bike to tune 10173.

Looks just like the standard exhaust, and sounds great! Definately louder but not annoyingly so, and has a lovely fruity note to it, developing into a pleasing howl at higher RPMs.

My particular Tiger didn’t really suffer from the low RPM surging experienced by some, just a slight hesitation, which has been smoothed out by the remap. I’m not noticing any distinct increase in power, but the slight dead spot around 3500RPM seems to have gone and in the general the bike feels beautifully smooth and lovely! Will have to see what happens to the fuel consumption, something I’ve never cared about before but in these days of record oil prices etc……
