18000 Mile Service

Mileage: 18133 Standard 18000 mile service at Carl Rosners again, plus new rear EBC again, and strip and clean front calipers*.  Also new chain and sprockets.  £525.  Ouch.  Rosners overfilled the coolant, and didn’t bother to check the brake fluid after de-binding the front calipers – so that the brake lever was pulling right back [...]

Mileage: 1075? Decided to mix a fully road-focused front with the 70/30 Tourance on the back – to see if I could get quicker steering / more grip out of the front end. Lets see how we go….

New rear tyre – old-style Tourance

Mileage: 8177 As title, new rear Tourance – old-style.  Might match it to a Tourance EXP on the front when the time comes.  Good mileage out of the Anakee which was on the bike from new.

Tour of the Scottish Highlands

Mileage: 5649 – 7510 After my last disasterous attempt to hit the highlands on my GS – I was anxious that the Tiger prove itself to be both reliable, and as good at touring as the GS was.  I needn’t have worried.
